MANILA, Philippines – The October 2022 Optometrist board exam results, including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are released on Monday, November 7, 2022 or in four (4) working days after the last day of examinations.
As announced, 179 out of 285 passed the exams.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the Optometrist Written licensure exam on October 23, 24 and 25 and October 26, 27, 30 and 31 for the Practical exam in Manila.

The performance of schools in the October 2022 Optometrist Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation" is as follows:
REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
On December 9 and December 12 - 13, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Optometrist board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The theoretical examinations covered the following: ocular pharmacology, ocular/visual biology, clinical optometry and specilaty areas of optometry (Day 1); physiological optics, binocular vision and perception, primary care and refraction (Day 2); and ocular diseases and ocular emergencies and perception, ethics, jurisprudence and practice management, theoretical and practical optics and opthalmic dispensing including contact lenses (Day 3).
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1429 series of 2021, the target release of October 2022 Optometrist board exam results is on Monday, November 7.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the December 2021 Optometrist board exams, results were out in 35 working days. PRC named 226 out of 254 who passed the series of tests. Centro Escolar University (CEU) - Manila led the schools with 93.60% or 117 out of 125 passed. Kim Elijah Eduba Torio from CEU-Manila earned the highest spot with 88.72%.
In the March 2021 Optometrist board exams, PRC released results in 22 working days. A total of 206 out of 234 passed the exams. CEU - Manila was the lone top performing school with 96.58% or 113 out of 117 passed the exams. Louie Orpiada Mallari from CEU-Manila topped the board with 88.19%.
In the July 2018 exams, results were released in three (3) working days. A total of 188 out of 222 passed the exams. CEU-Manila topped the schools with 87.23% or 82 out of 94 passed. Morel Paul Sumaoang Abesamis from Manila Central University (MCU) - Caloocan City aced the board with 87.23%.
In the July 2017 exams, results were out in seven (7) working days. PRC named 138 out of 169 who passed the grueling tests. Jennifer Juachon Parmerola, also from MCU - Caloocan City, led the passers with 88.71%.

- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
