MANILA, Philippines – Karla Estrada reacted to the rumors that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel) had broken up.
Recently, rumors have circulated that KathNiel has decided to part ways as noticed in the viral videos during the mediacon for the finale of Netflix and ABS-CBN show "2 Good 2 Be True" on October 24.
According to hawk-eyed netizens and supporters of the love team, the couple seemed awkward and less affectionate towards each other. Many KathNiel fans noted how those actions were the complete opposite of how the couple typically behaved. While posing for photos with the media people, Kathryn and Daniel were far from each other. It’s also quite noticeable how Daniel tries not to touch Kathryn while posing.
Fuelling the rumors were the couple’s answers during the interview. Kathniel is one of the longest-running love team in Pinoy showbiz with one of the biggest supporters. During the mediacon, they were asked what loyalty meant for them.
Kathryn answered, “Loyalty for me is being contented. Because if you’re contented, you won’t look for anymore person. So loyalty is about your contentment.”
Meanwhile, Daniel seems to have a lengthier answer that has intrigued many netizens and their fans. It took him sometime to answer and became a bit emotional too.
He said, “Alam mo sinong pinaka-loyal? Yung aso kong si Sammy. Siya yung pinaka-loyal, dun ko makikita yung definition ng loyalty. Kahit ano mang pinagdadanan ko ngayon, kung ano mang situwasyon ng emosyon ko ngayon, sino man ako ngayon, tatanggapin ako ng aso ko. Yun ang loyalty. Walang judgment kung sino ako.”
After social media went abuzz due to the alleged breakup, Kathniel’s “Queen Mother”, Karla breaks her silence amid the issue. Karla’s Instagram has been flooded with reactions and questions on the alleged split.
A netizen commented, “Tita karla please enlightened us na hindi totoo na break ang kathniel or my prob sila po. May naglalabasan po kasing mga comments sa tiktok dahil lang sa pagsabi ni dj na si summer ang definition ng pinaka loyal niya.”
To set the record straight, Karla replied in all capital letters to deny the breakup. She wrote, “WALANG KATOTOHANAN!!!”
Despite the speculations, the couple was spotted at the airport for a vacation on Friday, October 28.
Meanwhile, their show 2G2BT will conclude in November after half a year on air. According to Kath they can’t extend the show because they have to follow the contract they had with Netflix.
