MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the top performing schools and performance of schools in the August 2022 Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam.
PRC conducted the licensure exam in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Legaspi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban and Zamboanga on August 13 and 14.

In the February 2022 Mechanical Engineer licensure exams, Bohol Island State University - Tagbilaran topped the schools with 90.70% or 78 out of 86 passed. Batangas State University (BatSU) - Alangilan ranked second with 89.20% or 157 out of 176 passed.
In the August 2021 ME licensure exams, Ateneo de Davao University and University of Mindanao - Davao City shared the top spot with 100% passing rate, 5 and 9 passers respectively. University of Santo Tomas followed with 83.33% or 5 out of 6 passed.
In the February 2020 ME board exam, BatSU - Alangilan topped the schools with 92.55% or 174 out of 188 passed the exams (50 or more examinees).
In the August 2019 exams, BatSU- Alangilan also topped the schools with 100% passing rate or all 81 takers passed. University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman followed with 97.33% or 73 out of 75 passed.
