MANILA, Philippines – Fashion icon and celebrity makeup artist Fanny Serrano passed away on Tuesday night, May 10, 2022. He was 74.
The sad news was confirmed by his daughter Patpat Miranda to ABS-CBN News.
“Papa died peacefully in his sleep between 8:45 to 9 p.m. last night at his residence in Morato, Quezon City,“ Miranda said.
“Ang prayer lang namin huwag siyang masyadong maghirap and our Lord gave that to him, the blessing of moving on in his sleep," she added.
Serrano had a "massive stroke" in March 2021, according to singer-actress Sharon Cuneta.
He previously survived a stroke in 2016.
Felix Fausto Jr. in real life, Serrano made a name in the hair and fashion industry, beginning in the 1970s, defining glamor in showbiz through many of his muses, including Cuneta, Lorna Tolentino, Amy Austria, among others.
