MANILA, Philippines – Heads up, train commuters!
The Metro Rail Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Philippine National Railways (PNR) will be suspending their operations for few days in lieu of the observance of Holy Week 2022 and to conduct their annual maintenance activities.
"Kindly take note of the maintenance schedule, as well as the scheduled suspension and resumption of operations, in order to plan your travel accordingly," the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.

MRT-3
MRT-3 operations will be suspended from April 13 to 17, 2022, to give way for the line's annual preventive maintenance activities.
Normal operations will resume on April 18, 2022.
LRT-1
There will be a suspension of operations from April 14 (Maundy Thursday) to April 17, 2022 (Easter Sunday).
Normal operations of LRT-1 along the existing line – Baclaran to Balintawak Station will resume on April 18, 2022 (Monday).
LRT-2
Train stations will be closed from Holy Wednesday, April 13, 2022 until Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.
PNR
It will halt its operations from April 14 (Maundy Thursday) to April 16 (Black Saturday). Normal operations will resume on April 17, Easter Sunday.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The implementation of the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or the number coding scheme will be suspended during Holy Week from Holy Tuesday to Good Friday, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.
It added that the suspension was meant "to give the public the opportunity to travel earlier due to the influx of people returning to the provinces at the terminals and ports."
