MANILA, Philippines – Hours before Valentine's Day, celebrity couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez set the record straight and revealed that they are already married last October 19, 2021 in Las Vegas, USA.
The announcement was made through Vice's YouTube channel on Sunday, February 13.
"It's about time to share with you what really happened in Las Vegas last October 19, 2021," the couple said.
"Buong-buo ang loob ko na makasama ka. Mahal na mahal kita, Tuy," Ion told Vice in an intimate commitment ceremony at Little Vegas Chapel.
"Noy, mahal na mahal din kita. Ang saya-saya ko na ikaw ang kasama ko ngayon at kahapon. At makakasama ko parin bukas at sa susunod pang araw. I promise na mag-iipon pa ako ng maraming maraming pagmamahal sa puso ko," Vice answered Ion.
In a commitment ceremony, two people publicly avow their commitment to each other in a union that is similar to a marriage but without legal status.
Last October, the It's Showtime host together with his boyfriend traveled to Los Angeles, California for his concert titled "Vax Ganda: A Dose of Laughter." The successful concert happened on the 15th and 16th at the Pechanga Resort Casino.
On October 17, Ion uploaded a vlog sharing updates of their vacation. Along with their staff and crew, the couple stayed at the Hilton Los Angeles North Glendale.
They also watched a basketball game between L.A. Lakers and the Golden State Warriors at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
On October 15, 2021, Vice Ganda updated his Instagram Stories and expressed how glad he is to have been able to spend quality time with people he loves the most.
"Surrounded by the people I love and who love me. That's life," he wrote.
On October 18, Ion shared on Instagram that they made a stop at Las Vegas, Nevada, before heading to Connecticut for the concert on the 24th.
Rumors about the two getting married have been making rounds online since August last year.
It was in 2019 when Vice and Ion confirmed their long-speculated relationship.
