MANILA, Philippines – Four (4) people, the first lotto millionaires this year, will share the nearly Php 43 million Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
The winning combination was 23-01-09-24-12-07 for the jackpot of Php 42,945,708.20.

The lucky bettors, who bought their tickets from lotto outlets in Guagua, Pampanga, Maragondon, Cavite and Makati City (2 tickets), are advised to present their winning ticket and two valid identification cards to claim their checks at the PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City.
The selling agents will get a prize commission of 1 percent of the jackpot prize without exceeding PHP 1 million.
As provided in the TRAIN law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent final tax. Once the jackpot is claimed by the winner, it would be less 20 percent.
On December 4, one lucky bettor who bought the ticket at a lotto outlet in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan bagged Php 5,940,000.00 jackpot prize in the 6/42 draw.
The 6/42 Regular Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
In 2021, the PCSO listed 50 instances of winning the jackpot bearing games and at least 4 times in which two bettors shared on the prize.

PCSO general manager Royina Garma urged the public to patronize PCSO games to generate more funds to be used to assist Filipinos.
The PCSO serves as the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character.
One of its key programs is the Medical Access Program (MAP), which is designed to augment the medical needs of Filipinos nationwide, particularly hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, and post-transplant medicines.
The program is funded by revenues from PCSO games nationwide.
