MANILA, Philippines – A priest's vlog in which he shared his ex-wedding girlfriend's day went viral on social media.
Fr. Roniel Sulit recently went viral when he shared the homily he delivered on the wedding day of his ex-girlfriend, Korina. On the start of the vlog, Fr. Roniel even had the chance to talk with Korina inside the bridal car. While waiting for the wedding, the two were sharing jokes. At one point, Fr. Roniel said in jest, "Anong meron kay Manuel na wala ako?"
He clarified that he meant to ask why Korina chose to marry Manuel. Korina answered that her groom is a good man and was meant for her.
In the continuation of the vlog, Fr. Roniel can be seen making the homily as he admitted to everyone that he used to be in a relationship with the bride.
Fr. Roniel began his speech by saying he was nervous. He said, "Ako’y kinakabahan.
Earning laughs from the crowd, Fr. Roniel said he has no plans of stopping the wedding and said "past is past."
"Gayunpaman, the past is past.
When Korina got engaged, she even informed Fr. Roniel. It was also her idea for him to use their story as content for the priest's vlog.
Roniel revealed.
In the end, Fr. Roniel said he has nothing but well wishes for the newlyweds. He advised them to put God in the center of their marriage and to live a happy family life.
Kasama ang Diyos sa inyong kasalan," the priest said.
The vlog has already been deleted on the priest's YouTube channel. The couple and the priest have also shied away from the attention brought about by the viral story.
