MANILA, Philippines – Miss Philippines Maureen Montagne won the Miss Globe 2021 title in Albania on Friday (early Saturday in Manila).
Montagne's win just came a week after fellow Binibining Pilipinas queen Cindy Obeñita was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2021.
The 28-year-old Batangueña bested over 40 candidates in the competition.
Montagne now holds the country's second Miss Globe crown, after Ann Colis in 2015.
Nigeria, Turkey and Canada are among the runners-up, in order.
Montagne was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. She is of Filipino and French descent. She went back to the Philippines to compete on various national pageants.
She is also a commercial model, professional host, and has also worked as a magazine writer.
Previously, she was crowned Miss Arizona USA 2015 and finished as a Top 15 semifinalist at the Miss USA 2015 pageant. She was also previously crowned Miss Eco-Philippines 2018 and finished as 1st Runner-Up at the Miss Eco International 2019 pageant.
