MANILA, Philippines –
Reiven Umali from Carmona, Cavite was declared winner of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” season 5 during the grand finals on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Umali got a total average score of 93% from the combined scores from the hurados and public votes.
Umali won P1 million in cash, a brand new house and lot from Camella worth P2.3 million, a recording contract with ABS-CBN Music, a management contract under Star Magic's Polaris, and a trophy designed by Toym Imao.
He delivered a powerful rendition of Radiohead's "Creep", earning standing ovation from the judges.
Punong hurado Louie Ocampo praised the superb performance of Umali, the only contestant he stood up for in the grand finals.
"It was the closest to perfection. I didn't expect it. I was really floored with your version," Ocampo said.

He was up against Adrian Manibale, who won second place after performing "Falling" of Harry Styles. Third placer Anthony Castillo impressed with his emotional rendition of P-pop group SB19's "MAPA." They took home P200,000 and P100,000 respectively.
He also bested other hopefuls in the grand finals: Gem Cristian, Froilan Cedilla, Lorraine Galvez, Psalm Manalo and Aixia Mallary.
Previous winners of the competition were Noven Belleza (2017), Janine Berdin (2018), Elaine Duran (2019) and JM Yosures (2020).
The finale episode dominated trending topics on social media and ranked first in the nationwide list on Twitter.
