MANILA, Philippines – Showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin confirmed that it was Paolo Contis and Yen Santos in the photo and video that have gone viral.
Following the split of Paolo with LJ Reyes, many have been alluding that a third party was involved. While Lolit Solis, Paolo's manager, denied that the actor had an affair, LJ spoke up to say that their decision to split was not mutual.
Recently, a video has circulated where netizens were quick to assume that Paolo and Yen were together in Manaoag Church. The woman was a bit unrecognizable as she had long hair and was wearing a face mask and face shield.

Cristy Fermin on her radio show “Cristy Ferminute” on Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM confirmed that the personalities in the video and photo were indeed Paolo and Yen based on her reliable source.
"Kumpirmado po ‘yung lumabas na larawan nina Yen at ni Paolo na nagsimba po sa Manaoag, sila po talaga ‘yun. Sila talaga ‘yun kahit ‘yung kumakain na magkatabi sa isang restaurant, sila po talaga ‘yun," Cristy explained.
“Hindi na po kailangang mag-away-away pa ang mga Marites, hindi na kayo dapat mag-away-away na dinetalye n’yo pati sandals ni Yen pati ‘yung kanyang alak-alakan, ‘yung kanyang katawan, kanyang itsura ‘wag na po dahil totoo po na sila ‘yun," she added.

"Kumpirmado po ‘yung lumabas na larawan nina Yen at ni Paolo na nagsimba po sa Manaoag, sila po talaga ‘yun. Sila talaga ‘yun kahit ‘yung kumakain na magkatabi sa isang restaurant, sila po talaga ‘yun," Cristy explained.
“Hindi na po kailangang mag-away-away pa ang mga Marites, hindi na kayo dapat mag-away-away na dinetalye n’yo pati sandals ni Yen pati ‘yung kanyang alak-alakan, ‘yung kanyang katawan, kanyang itsura ‘wag na po dahil totoo po na sila ‘yun," she added.

However, Cristy defended that the video was taken when Paolo and LJ were already separated.
“Nagkayayaan lang daw si Paolo at si Yen na magsimba sa Manaoag (Pangasinan) at siyempre pagkasimba kakain. Pero ng maganap po ‘yan matagal na pong hiwalay si Paolo at si LJ, ‘yun naman ang malinaw diyan," Cristy recalled.
The showbiz reporter defended Paolo and Yen because the actor was no longer in a relationship when they went out. According to Cristy, Paolo was already single when he worked with Yen on their movie, "A Faraway Land."
"Kumbaga hindi na po siya (Yen) naging thirdwheel, hindi po siya ikatlong bahagi o third party kasi hindi po niya pinasok ‘yung relasyon nina Paolo at LJ," Cristy continued.
“Nasa labas na po si Paolo nang sila ay magtambal sa pelikulang ‘A Faraway Land.’ Nasa labas na rin po ng relasyon si Paolo nang pumunta sila sa Manaoag para magdasal at kumain sa labas,” she explained.
Aside from defending Paolo, Cristy also took Yen's side and said that the actress has always been silent on issues against her.
"Mula nang mag-artista si Yen Santos hindi ko pa siya nakitang sumagot sa mga isyung ibinabato sa kanya. I-blind item mo siya, pangalanan mo siya, pitikin mo nang todo-todo hindi siya nagsasalita, hindi talaga madaldal ‘tong batang to," Cristy said.
