MANILA, Philippines – TV Patrol, the flagship newscast of ABS-CBN, is set to lose two of its mainstays as reports said that Kim Atienza and Noli De Castro are going to leave the show.
Netizens are abuzz after rumors started circulating that ABS-CBN's resident weather anchor and trivia master Kuya Kim will soon move to the rival network.
According to reports, Kuya Kim was offered 5 shows by GMA Network so he could make the switch. If confirmed, it would mean that the report has chosen to break his earlier statement that he will remain with ABS-CBN despite the network losing its franchise.

Meanwhile, De Castro is also allegedly going to bid goodbye to the Kapamilya news show as he gets back to politics. Reports are also circulating that the former Vice President will join the senate race in the upcoming 2022 election.
According to reports, De Castro is set to join the political camp of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. Report also said that ABS-CBN did not give its "blessing" for De Castro to run for senator.

Last year, Kuya Kim affirmed his loyalty with ABS-CBN to Philippine Star entertainment editor Ricky Lo. He said, “The ABS-CBN ship is still afloat and is very much alive. I shall stay a Kapamilya till its last breath."
During a Facebook Live last Tuesday, he revealed to his followers that he will be going through a "transition." He even urged them to watch his segment on TV Patrol on Friday for his announcement.
"For those who follow me here on Facebook and YouTube, Kuwentuhan with Kuya Kim, remember, a couple of weeks ago, I was... I told you to pray for me because I am in transition. Remember that I will always be very truthful to you, my Facebook and YouTube followers, utang na loob ko sa inyo for following me and for being with me through hard times and good times," the broadcaster confessed.
Kuya Kim went on to explain a bit what he meant by the "transition." He said that this transition was made after he made countless prayers and asked for signs from the Lord.
“And that period of transition is still ongoing. Transition. What does transition mean? Transition is moving from Point A to Point B," he added.
"You know, I’ve been gifted by the Lord with signs whenever I pray for signs, whenever I have to make a big decision. I pray for signs, and the signs have been so clear whenever it’s His will. Whenever it’s His will, the signs are so clear in the decision I make," Kuya Kim added.
“This is what I can say: the transition is real," he remarked.
October 1 update: On October 1, Kuya Kim bid goodbye to the viewers of "TV Patrol" after 17 years of delivering the nightly weather news.
