MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced today the cancellation of August 15 and 16, 2021 Mechanical Engineer (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam in three testing centers.
Pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 130-A (s. 2021) and PRC Resolution No. 1394 (s. 2021), the ME and CPM board exam have been CANCELLED in National Capital Region (NCR), Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro (CDO).

However, the August 15 and 16, 2021 ME and CPM exams in Baguio, Koronadal City, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga shall proceed as scheduled, PRC said.
"Affected examinees in NCR, Cebu, and CDO may take the next succeeding examination without forfeiture of their examination fees," the agency said.
The PRC requests the public's utmost understanding and cooperation as it complies with the guidelines set forth by IATF-MEID as COVID-19 concerns continue to rise.
