In an online interview with the press, Bea admitted that making the decision to transfer networks was not an easy feat. She pondered over it for months until she realized that she was excited and happy to start a new chapter in her career.

"I was thinking, reflecting about what I want to do. There have been a lot of changes the past year and when GMA’s offer came, it came at the right time,” she said.

"I was ready. I felt empowered and ready to chase my dreams and work in a new environment and meet new people,” she added.

The actress revealed that the opportunity “fell on my lap at the right time and I seized it. It was the right thing to do because I’m happy,” she said.

According to Bea, she is determined to work harder and proved herself in the Kapuso network. She looks forward to working with new people in her new home.

"I will do my best to give you quality performance because that’s what you deserve. I am excited to work with Kapuso stars, writers, and directors,” she remarked.

GMA has yet to reveal the projects they planned for Bea. Earlier, it was announced that Bea will star alongside Alden Richards in a movie, "A Moment to Remember," which is inspired by the Japanese series "Pure Soul."

Bea is also set to do a movie with John Lloyd titled, "No Goodbyes" but no updates on the project yet.

Bea began her career in ABS-CBN in 2001 as part of Star Circle Batch 10. As early as May 2021, there have already been speculations that the actress was going to transfer to GMA. When the network dropped a teaser that an "award-winning actress" will soon be a Kapuso, many were quick to guess that it was Bea.

When the network transfer was confirmed, the #ProudtoBEAKapuso and Bea Alonzo were top trending topics online.
