MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that it is accepting applications for caregivers and nurses bound for Japan.
The agency posted on its official website recruitment specification form no. 210006, announcing that Japan is opening its doors for Filipino caregivers and nurses.
Since this will be under the government-to-government arrangement, the hired workers will not be counted in the new 6,500-ceiling of health workers overseas deployment allowed by The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
According to the hiring description, Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS) needs qualified male and female applicants for the following positions: 32 nurses (Kangoshi) and 401 careworkers (Kaigofukushishi).
The qualifications for nurses are the following:

Japanese Language Proficiency
All candidates are required to undergo a total of twelve (12) months of intensive Japanese Language Training before working which consist of:

Candidates are expected to acquire Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the JLPT N5 level upon completion of the Preparatory Japanese Language Training in the Philippines.
Those who have a Japanese Language Proficiency Training Certificate (JLPT N3 or N2) or those who have experience in studying the Japanese language in the Japanese Language Training Institution designated by the Ministry of Justice in Japan, will be exempted in the JLPT both in the Philippines and Japan.
Must be motivated and committed to work and study as a candidate for “Kaigofukushishi” to obtain a national license in Japan.
Only those with a fast and reliable internet connection will be selected.

- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing with active PRC License;
- Minimum of three (3) years hospital work experience;
- Must be motivated and committed to work and study as a candidate for “Kangoshi” to obtain a National License in Japan.

- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (with or without PRC license)
- Graduate of four (4) year course BUT should submit TESDA National Certificate II in Caregiving (NC II)

Ople Bldg. (formerly POEA Bldg.), Ortigas Avenue corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
The following documents should be fastened in a folder and properly labeled with RSF No.210006, Applicant’s Name, Position Applied For, Country of Destination, and E-Registration Number) during their respective schedule of appointment:
