MANILA, Philippines – The grand coronation night for the 69th edition of Miss Universe pageant happens on Sunday, May 16, 2021 (Monday, May 17 8:00 am Manila time) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida, USA.

Seventy four (74) candidates are vying for the most coveted crown and the priviledge of being the Miss Universe 2020.
Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo is all-out for the country's fifth Miss Universe crown. She was among the hot picks by pageant enthusiasts.

During the preliminary competition, Rabiya wowed the audience in the swimsuit segment. She also showed off her "Hala Bira Walk" at the runway. It can be recalled that Rabiya won the Best in Swimsuit at the Miss Universe Philippines competition.

Twenty-one (21) candidates from the pool will be announced at the start of the pageant. Judging is based on closed-door interview, online voting and preliminary competition, which featured contestants competing in swimsuit and evening gown.
Viewers can expect something new in this year's pageantry as Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and celebrity host Mario Lopez take the mantle from Steve Harvey as its official hosts.
