MANILA, Philippines – Liofer Pinatacan was hailed the Big Winner of the historic Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Connect at the grand finals night held on Sunday, March 14.
The 22-year-old who was dubbed "Dong Diskarte ng Zamboanga Del Sur" garnered 20.90 percent of combined text, Kumu and Big 4 task votes.
Liofer will take home P1 million from Brilliant Skin and a house and lot from PHirst Park Homes.
During his stay in the Big Brother house, he showcased his strategic thinking in every task and his sense of responsibility to his housemates.
Meanwhile, the "Cheerdance Sweetheart ng Parañaque" Andrea Abaya finished in second place after receiving 16.60 percent of the total number of votes. She will receive P500,000 in cash.
Andrea proved that self-confidence is the first step in reaching one’s goals -from accomplishing secret tasks when she was still an isolated housemate to winning the first ‘Apat na Karapat Dapat’ challenge.
The "Charming Striker ng Parañaque" Kobie Brown placed third with 3.36 percent of votes, while “Kwelang Fangirl ng Sarangani” Jie-Ann Armero placed fourth, with 2.66 percent of votes. They will get P300,000 and P200,000, respectively.
Jie-Ann showed that knowing how to nurture relationships with others is a crucial skill in life, making her connect well with fellow housemates. Kobie on the other hand made viewers realize that staying positive and determined will help anyone win in the game of life.
PBB Connect is the ninth main and fifteenth overall season of Pinoy Big Brother which premiered on December 6, 2020 on both A2Z and Kapamilya Channel. The show is also streamed online on YouTube, Facebook, iWantTFC and Kumu.

This is the first season where the show is not being aired on ABS-CBN after the network received order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to cease and desist its free-to-air television and radio broadcast operations on May 5, 2020. ABS-CBN also failed to get franchise after its renewal bid was denied by the House of Representatives on July 10, 2020.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, auditions and most part of the program were using Kumu streaming platform. A total of 177,524 auditioned in November to be part of the official housemates of “PBB Connect.”
