MANILA, Philippines – JM Yosures was declared winner of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” season 4 during the grand finals today, February 6, 2021.
The singer from Taguig City was declared the grand champion of the singing competition on “It’s Showtime.”
Yosures won 1 million pesos, a brand new house and lot from Lessandra worth 2 million pesos, a recording contract with Star Music, a management contract with Star Magic, and a special trophy designed by Toym Imao.
Yosures delivered astounding medley of Lady Gaga songs in the Final 3 round.
He was up against Rachell Laylo, who won second place after performing Aegis songs. Third placer Ayegee Paredes impressed with a Rey Valera medley. They took home P200,000 and P100,000 respectively.
The winner’s score was based on judges’ scores and and text votes.
He also bested other hopefuls in the week-long grand finals: Rica Mae Maer, Emmar Cabilogan, Nikole Kyle Bernido, Makki Lucino, Donna Gift Ricafrente and Mara Tumale.
Previous winners of the competition were Noven Belleza (2017), Janine Berdin (2018), and Elaine Duran (2019).
The three-hour finale dominated trending topics on social media and ranked first in the worldwide list on Twitter.
