MANILA, Philippines – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy administrator Mocha Uson finally broke her silence on the allegation she is pregnant with Robin Padilla's child.
Mocha went on to her official Facebook page to vehemently deny that she is pregnant and that the action star is the father. She even posted a video of herself showing her belly as she works out.
The blogger-turned-government official said she feels ashamed of Robin and his wife Mariel for the rumors and blamed the critics of the government responsible for spreading the wrong information.
Mocha wrote, "BUNTIS DAW AKO KAY ROBIN? Wala pong katotohanan yang tsismis na yan. Napakabait po nung tao. Nakakahiya naman kay idol Robin at Mariel. Sigurado ako ang nagpapakalat niyan ay yung mga bitter sa ating gobyerno."
According to Mocha, the allegation was clearly made by the supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo because she is lagging in the survey. She explained that the rumor between her and Robin was made to destroy their reputations as supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte.
"Alam ng lahat na ako at si sir Robin ay masugid na supporter ni Pangulong Duterte kaya nalang sinisiraan kami. Kulelat kasi sa survey ang pambato nilang si Robredo kaya kung anu-ano paninira ang iniimbento nila. Lunch break! Workout na muna tayo," Mocha added.
Earlier, Robin's wife Mariel already went on social media to air her frustration about the issue. She described it as "baseless gossip" and that Robin has no idea about the issue. She defended her husband and appealed for the public to stop gossiping, especially because Robin is grieving for the loss of his brother Royette.
