MANILA, Philippines – Two people were confirmed dead in a bus fire incident in Fairview, Quezon City on Sunday, January 3, the Bureau of Fire Protection reported.
Barangay North Fairview in a Facebook post said that the passenger bus was traversing Commonwealth Avenue southbound lane across Fairview Pearl Drive when it caught fire.
The report added that most of the passengers jumped out the bus to escape the fire while some were trapped inside.
"Agad na tumalon palabas ng bus ang mga pasahero base na rin sa ilang video sa social media. Ngunit mayroong napaulat na natrap sa loob ng naturang bus habang nasusunog ito."
