MANILA, Philippines – TRIGGER WARNING.
Losing one’s job can be so difficult for a person, but one guy who lost his wife to suicide decided to kill his 2 kids and take his own life! Because the rope broke, the man’s life was saved. However, he now has to face two counts of parricide for his children’s murders in his hands.
The man, whose name was withheld for privacy reasons, voluntarily surrendered to the Taguig PNP station on Christmas Day. He admitted to suffering from severe depression after he lost his wife who committed suicide the previous day.
According to the PNP’s statement, the man and his wife lost their respective jobs. Falling into depression, the wife took her own life.
Unsure of how he will raise his kids now that his wife is gone and he does not have a job, the man fell into severe depression and planned to kill his two kids, ages 1 and 3 years old. After succeeding in killing the two young children, the man took a rope to kill himself, too.
When the rope broke, the man did not attempt to do it again. Instead, he experienced remorse and voluntarily surrendered himself at the police station. He confessed to his crimes and readily explained his reasons for taking his own children’s lives.
The man is now detained at the Taguig PNP station and will face two counts of parricide for the two children’s death.
