MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2020 Gabi ng Parangal (Awards Night) was held online on Sunday, December 27. Below is a full rundown of all the winners.
The 46th edition of the annual MMFF goes virtual due to COVID-19 pandemic. The ten (10) official entries were not screened in cinemas, instead, entries were made available online through video streaming platform Upstream.

'Fan Girl' won most of the major awards including Best Picture, Best Actor and Actress (Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon), Best Director (Antoinette Jadaone), Best Screenplay (Antoinette Jadaone), Best Editing (Benjamin Tolentino), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza) and Best Sound (Vincent Villa).

The Gabi ng Parangal was hosted by Marco Gumabao and Kylie Verzosa.
The traditional Parade of Stars was also held virtual prior to the film festival's official opening day.
MMFF nationwide screening runs from December 25 until January 7, 2021.
While there's no official announcement yet of the topgrossers, some reports said fantasy film "Magikland" and the controversial "Fan Girl" among the expected front runners in the box office.
By virtue of Metro Manila Commission Executive Order No. 86-09, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation Nos. 1459, 1485, 1533, 1533-A and 1647, the MMFF is held during the Christmas Season in recognition of the role of the film industry in providing artistic depictions of both this country's stories and history.
