MANILA, Philippines – Jomel Garcia Lapides of the University of the Philippines - Manila earned the highest spot in the November 2020 Physician Licensure Exams (PLE). But everyone was amazed to learn that this genius new doctor also ranked as Top 1 in the Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE) he took back in 2011! Wow. Isn’t that amazing?
Lapides successfully hurdled the 2020 PLE given earlier this month with a rating of 88.67 percent. With that score, the graduate of the University of the Philippines-Manila bested more than 3,500 medical students who passed the exams; a total of 4,704 took the test.
But the PLE topnotcher truly wowed everyone who learned that this is not the first time that he ranked first in the board exams which are given and ranked on a national level. Back in July 2011, Lapides also ranked first in the NLE with a rating of 88.40 percent.
