MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday, September 16, the rescheduling of the regular Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or physician board exam.
From the original schedule of September 13, 14, 20, and 21, PRC moved the dates to November 10, 11, 15, and 16, 2020, subject to the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
PRC said the deadline for filing of applications for the said licensure examination shall be extended until October 9, 2020.
The rescheduling of PLE to November 2020 was also announced by the Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine (PRBOM).

Meanwhile, the second part of exam for March 2020 batch will push through on September 20-21, 2020. PLE will be conducted simultaneously in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga cities.
The Qualifying Assessment for Foreign Medical Professionals (QAFMP) will be administered in Manila on September 19. (Saturday).

PRC and IATF cited the urgent need for physicians as conveyed by the Department of Health (DOH) to meet the requirements of the Public Health Emergency.
