MANILA, Philippines – A farmer’s daughter recently went viral as she proudly shares her graduation photo to honor her dad. Netizens are happy that this young woman is proud of her farmer dad and also glad that this farmer worked hard to send his daughter to school.
While there are plenty of young people who feel ashamed to post about their parents, especially those with poor origins or parents with menial jobs, it is great to hear stories of the younger generations being proud of their parents!
But netizens pointed out that this should be everyone’s mentality, no matter what their parents’ jobs might be. After all, our parents brought us into this world and are doing their best to feed us, raise us, and send us to school.
Ela Marfil Sullano recently graduated from Pavia National High School in Iloilo, Philippines. As she achieved this new milestone in her life, this young lady honored her dad in a post on Facebook that got netizens’ attention.
“Nakapagtapos ako dahil sa dugo't pawis ng aking ama. 💖,” Ela wrote as she also declares herself as a proud daughter of a farmer in her hashtag.
The young lady received the Academic Excellence Award with High Honors. Aside from praising Ela for her intelligence, netizens also expressed admiration that she knows how to honor her farmer dad. Some are calling her as a great example to the other young people, particularly those who are ashamed because their parents are poor.
“Congrats and salute to your parents for all their hardships para mapa aral ka 😊😊🎉🎉and to you continue to be a good example to the youth 😊,” one netizen commented.
“Masaya po ako dahil Hindi niyo po ikinakahiya ang ama niyo,” another wrote.
“Congrats ^_^ Proud of you ading for flexing your father sa mga natanggap mong recognitions :) Godbless sayo at kay Tatay,” another netizen said.
