BTS 'Dynamite' breaks records, smashes 100M views in 24 hours

MANILA, Philippines – Popular South Korean boy band BTS is breaking the internet with their newly launched music video called "Dynamite."

The K-Pop group's first English song "Dynamite" garnered 3 million concurrent live viewers as it was released on YouTube on Friday, August 21. Thanks to all the ARMYs worldwide!

In the 24-hour window, it had registered more than 86.4 million views on video-sharing site, topping the prior record holder Blackpink’s “How You Like That,” which amassed an official tally of 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours.

"Dynamite” reached 100 million views in approximately 24 hours and 27 minutes.


The upbeat and vivid “Dynamite” music video is currently the no. 1 trending video on YouTube and "#DynamiteBTS" holding the top spot on Twitter Philippines and worldwide trends.

The latest viral video became their 26th MV to reach 100 million views, with 2017 "DNA" racked up 1 billion views and "Boy With Luv" just 100-M to the billion mark.

As it surpassed several milestones and record speeds, ARMYs next target for "Dynamite" is to explode more and reach 1 billion mark to beat current holder Adele's "Hello", which reached 1 billion views in in 87.4 days.

The seven-member group, also known as "Bangtan Boys" and "Bulletproof Boy Scouts", debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment and released their single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool.
