MANILA, Philippines – Actress Kim Chiu explained the "classroom" analogy from her statement on Friday night, May 8, during the launch of "Laban Kapamilya" campaign of ABS-CBN.
Kim, who expressed her opinion against the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) order to halt free broadcast operations of ABS-CBN, compared the plight of her home network to a classroom situation. According to her, there's a guideline that need to be followed but once you complied to the rule, you should be allowed to leave the room.
The Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) alumna might be referring to the submitted petitions and efforts of ABS-CBN to get franchise renewal as required by law (NTC) but still pending with the Congress.
Netizens were confused on her remarks and this went viral on social media.
The actress took to Instagram on Saturday to explain and apologize:
The Chinita Princess recalled in her streamed video how the Kapamilya network changed their life, she was able to buy her family a new home and send her siblings to college.
Kim said that ABS-CBN's reality show allowed her to dream of a better life.
"Bakit niyo tatanggalan ng pangarap at pag-asa ang isang tao?" she asked.
She pleaded to the government to have the cease and desist order reversed.

But they are silent on Duterte’s midnight garbage talks.
