MANILA, Philippines – Actress Ara Mina led relief efforts for several areas worst hit by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Mina shared she and her Team DARVE have donated a truckload of rice to those severely affected by the crisis in the province of Laguna and Rizal, as well as Quezon City, Angeles in Pampanga, and Caloocan.
The 41-year-old star posted photos of sacks of rice and volunteers involved in her donation drive.
"Ang munting tulong na ito ng aming Team Darve ay sana malayo ang marating.
"Salamat sa lahat ng LGUs at volunteers na tumulong sa pamamahagi ng aming nakayanan.
"Kaya natin ito! Tulong-tulong tayo!," she said.
Previously, Mina also helped for donating personal protective equipment and food packs to frontliners and various communities.
