MANILA, Philippines – Results of UPCAT 2020 are out online on Saturday, May 30.
"UPCAT 2020 results are now out! Iskolar ng Bayan, hinihintay ka na ng UP at bayan!
Taos-pusong pinagpupugayan ang bagong henerasyon ng mga estudyante ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. Mabuhay kayo, pag-asa ng bayan! Paglingkuran ang sambayanan!," UP Office of the Student Regent tweeted.
The Student Regent advised takers to "wait for official announcements from the Admissions office/your respective campus administration/local student council for next steps."
Please go to the UPCAT main website https://upcatresults.up.edu.ph/. Log-in with your e-mail address to view your application results.
NOTE: Due to large volume of users accessing the UPCAT website, server may be down. Try to access the results page later.
Due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the imposition of enhanced community quarantine, release of results was delayed.
"We understand your concern about the pending release of UPCAT 2020 results, but rest assured that the Office of Admissions continues to do its utmost despite severe limitations and challenges. The results are targeted for release within the month of May," the statement released on May 5 reads.
Dr. Elena Pernia, UP Vice President for Public Affairs, also gave an update on College Admissions Test (UPCAT) results in an interview with multimedia guru Noel Ferrer on Radyo Katipunan during the talk with academic affairs heads of Big Four schools on quarantine concerns and post-lockdown scenarios in the universities last April 16.
Pernia said the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic affected the processing of UPCAT results. "Medyo natigil ng konti kasi yung lockdown nga hindi pa natapos."

The UP official also assured the pre-results activity is ongoing as they came up with alternative solution. "Ang ginawa namin, sinundo sila mga nagtratrabaho para sa UPCAT. Naka-house sila sa university para gawin yun."
"Malamang end of the month para may kasiguraduhan?" Ferrer asked if results will be released within the month (April).
"Ayaw ko magsabi," Pernia said while confirming the target is on month end.

'UPCAT' is trending on Twitter Philippines on April 30 following rumors that results will be released on the same day.
The Summit Express tried to contact UP on the development of UPCAT 2020 results. They said: "Please read our latest announcement regarding the UPCAT posted on this Facebook page last March 28, 2020. Thank you."
On March 28, UP postponed the originally scheduled on March 30, 2020 release of UPCAT results. In a statement, UP said it was prompted by two considerations:
1) the reality that the UPCAT applicants will have different levels of access to online results in light of the Luzon Enhanced Community Quarantine;
2) the need to suspend UPCAT processing after March 16, 2020 in consideration of the welfare of the large team of employees working on the pre-release validation of UPCAT results—who live in various locations within and at the outskirts of Metro Manila.
How to view UPCAT Results?
Same with previous exam, UPCAT 2020 results will be available online. Please go to the UPCAT main website https://upcat.up.edu.ph.
"After taking the UPCAT, you may check this page for announcements and posting of UPCAT results. You will need the same email account that you used for application to view your application results.
