MANILA, Philippines – Fire broke out at a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Saturday, April 18.
The Bureau of Fire Protection declared fire under control at 9:41 am at slum area of Happyland.
As most of the houses were made from light materials, huge fire quicky spread.
Netizen Jhunmar Ricamonte Tan on Facebook shared video and photos of the incident.
Emergency dispatch system TXTFIREPhilippines reported the incident at 7:28 am. It reached Task Force Alpha after 30 minutes or 7:58 am.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross medical team are on stand-by to provide immediate medical attention at Road 10 in Tondo Manila. Firefighters also rushed to the area to help in the ground battle putting out the fire.
