MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially declared Wednesday, March 11, the CANCELLATION of board exams scheduled in March and April 2020 to help combat the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Among the affected board exam are the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), the remaining exams for aspiring Physician (PLE), electronics and electrical engineering board exam, pharmacist and midwife exams.
UPDATE: March 2020 LET postponed - PRC
The cancellation of PRC board exam is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 922 dated March 8, 2020 declaring a state of public health emergency throughout the country, and the recommendations of the Department of Health (DOH) and Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) to prohibit mass gatherings, and to further ensure the safety of the examinees and employees of the PRC.
As of today, DOH has reported 16 additional positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 49.

On Tuesday, news about the cancellation of March 29, 2020 LET circulates online. A viral message, coming from Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, posted by Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) - National said "Just got texted message from Dr. Paz Lucido informing me that March 29 LET is cancelled."
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) also postponed the conduct of March 15, 2020 civil service exam or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) following the order of the president.

For those asking for the new schedule of affected PRC board exams, PRC said that they will announce the information on their website and social media accounts.
"Announcement on the new schedules of the affected licensure examinations will be posted on the PRC website and/or PRC social media accounts," the agency said.
