MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) said that 538 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been confirmed on Tuesday, March 31, bringing the total cases in the Philippines to surpass 2000-mark.
As of 4:00 pm today, DOH said that total number of cases is 2084.

This is the largest single-day increase of the contracted individuals in the country so far.
DOH added that 10 patients died while seven others recovered from the virus. Death toll now at 88 while recovered patients at 49.
The Health department said that one of the strategies to combat the threat of COVID-19 is to enhance and expand our country's testing capabilities.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday reported that nearly 700,000 individuals were infecyed globally with more than 33,000 deaths.
