MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday said that 32 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed, bringing the total to 262.
DOH added that one patient died while five others recovered from the virus.

The death toll in the Philippines due to COVID-19 is now 19 or mortality rate of 7% as compared to global rate of 4% or 9,840 out of 234,073 patients died as of Friday.
Recovery rate in the Philippines is now 5% or 13 patients have so far cleared or tested negative twice for COVID-19.

President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entirety of Luzon under enhanced community quarantine until April 12. Metro Manila will be in lockdown until April 14.
Globally, the disease has claimed lives of nearly 10,000 people with more than 230,000 infected of the virus.
