MANILA, Philippines – During the month-long community quarantine in Metro Manila, authorities will also impose curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to help combat the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This was announced by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jojo Garcia in a press briefing on Saturday.
Exempted from the mandate are workers and those involved in essential services.
"Hindi naman po dadamputin ito. Pagsasabihan lang na nandito ang PNP na umuwi na kayo kung hindi importante ang lakad ninyo," Garcia said.
The community quarantine of over the entire capital region will start Sunday, March 15 until Tuesday, April 14.
