She lost her 7-year-old daughter some 3 years ago, but one mom was able to “reunite” with her dead daughter one more time through virtual reality. Thanks to technology, she was able to “talk” with her daughter again – and the resulting video breaks everyone’s hearts…
“Is there someone you miss in memory? Jang Ji-sung, the mother of four children, lost the third Nayeon, 7 years old, three years ago. And today we meet Nayeon again through VR (Virtual Reality) technology. Can Mom let Nayeon go? #VR #Human Documentary #Meeting You #Nayeon,” revealed the caption, written in Korean language.
Though the heartbreaking video was actually done in Korean, netizens from all over the world still managed to understand every bittersweet moment that is happening on screen. Many netizens cried as they watched Ji-sung speak with her daughter, imagining what life would have been if her daughter was alive and well.
Thanks to advances in virtual reality technology, she could “talk” to her daughter even for just a few minutes. And though it was not real and she could not really give Nayeon a real hug, it brought so much comfort for Ji-sung to have been able to do this. It felt real for this grieving mom – and tears were falling down her eyes the entire time.
For some moments, she and Nayeon made new memories together as they had a picnic and played. It was so sweet and so heartbreaking at the same time, knowing that it was not real yet Ji-sung is also experiencing the moments as if Nayeon was actually there…
As the day came to an end, Ji-sung puts Nayeon to bed. She continues to cry, knowing this short but sweet time also ends. The experience was surreal but Ji-sung feels happy that she had the opportunity to experience this bittersweet moment…
