MANILA, Philippines – A couple recently went viral after receiving a total of Php844,000 in cash for the money dance! Many netizens couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy as they looked at the couple’s photos where both wore crowns of cash in US dollars, Canadian dollars, and Philippines pesos.
The money dance is part of the wedding tradition, especially in the Philippines. So, for the wedding of Allan and Precilla in Binmaley, Pangasinan, they also did the money dance to pray for prosperity.
But their guests and well-wishers didn’t just pin one or two bills on the newlyweds to wish them prosperity in life. Many arrived at the reception prepared for the money dance, with cash already arranged in different ways for best presentation.
There were those who gave the couple a cape of dollars while others placed crowns of money on their heads. Others simply pinned money on the couple’s clothes.
After the prosperity dance, the couple received a total of 13,000 US dollars, 3,250 Canadian dollars, and Php62,000. This amounted to a total of Php844,000, after conversion of the dollars. Wow.
A lot of netizens think the couple hit the jackpot! It turned out that many of their principal sponsors and guests came all the way from the US and Canada. They had lots of money to spare for the couple.
