MANILA, Philippines – It is said that poverty is not a hindrance to success. This has been proven time and again by many inspiring people; yet stories of people being able to overcome their financial struggles to find success in life continue to inspire others.
Recently, the son of buko and vegetable sellers went viral after he ranked second in the November 2019 Criminologist Licensure Exam (CLE). Despite the struggles he and his family had to face, John Patrick Aguado Privado inspired everyone as he was able to complete his college education and later rank second in the criminology licensure exams.

John Patrick graduated from the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) College of Public Administration and Criminology (CPAC). His story inspired a lot of people after it was shared by a number of people who knew him personally and greatly admired how he managed to overcome obstacles to reach for his dreams.

John Patrick garnered a score of 90.75%. His success is made even more impressive by the fact that only 19,191 out of 43,512 (44.11%) passed the exams.
