MANILA, Philippines – Award-winning actor and former child star Jiro Manio was arrested in Marikina City on Friday night, January 17 for allegedly stabbing a man.

The incident happened at M.A Roxas St., Brgy. San Roque, the Marikina City Police Department reported.
The man identified as Zeus Doctolero was walking when Manio came from opposite direction.
Police report said Manio attacked Doctolero causing a brawl and stabbed him twice in the back shoulder.
In his defense, the former actor said it was Doctolero who first hit him with a helmet.
The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Manio is four times Best Child Actor awardee, 3 of which are from his multi-awarded film “Magnifico".
In 2015, he was found wandering at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 and managed to survive through the kindness of strangers and employees. Reports said he was suffering bouts of depression.
