MANILA, Philippines – Classes have been suspended in several areas on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon 'Tisoy' (Kammuri).
In the 8:00 p.m. bulletin today, PAGASA said Typhoon Tisoy further intensified and expected to make landfall over Sorsogon in the next three hours. The eyewall of the typhoon is now bringing violent winds over Northern Samar, Catanduanes, Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon.
At 7:00 p.m. today, the eye of Bagyong Tisoy was located based on all available data including Virac Doppler Radar at 90 km East of Juban, Sorsogon.
The weather system has maximum sustained winds of up to 165 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 230 km/h. It is moving West at 20 km/h.

According to the automatic class suspension guideline by DepEd, the local government units (LGUs) have the authority to declare local suspensions in areas where there is no storm signal.
