Ryan and Rich Love Story: The saddest 'wedding' video
Admin-
MANILA, Philippines – They had plenty of dreams in life and were actually planning to get married before the year ends, but fate had other plans for couple Ryan Pag-asa Casidsid and Richielyn Jimenez. Just weeks before their wedding date, the grieving groom walked down the aisle with tears in his eyes as he awaited the arrival of his bride’s coffin…
In a heartbreaking post on Facebook, Ryan shared their love story. He narrated how he fell in love with his workmate Richielyn, their courtship as they first tried to keep their love a secret, the long wait he had to endure before she said “yes” to become his girlfriend, and how they spent the next months filled with love.

It was early in January 2019 that Ryan proposed to Richielyn in an elaborate proposal he planned with their friends. She said, “Yes!”

Later on, they received more good news as they learned that she’s pregnant, but their happiness turned to sadness when they lost the baby they named as Tony in March.

Not wanting to wallow in sadness, Richielyn immediately went back to work. The two would soon work on their wedding plans – and they had everything ready! They already got the clothes they were both supposed to wear, down to the perfect wedding gown and shoes. They had also gotten the clothes for the entourage and paid deposits for the wedding venue, reception, plus other wedding suppliers. The wedding souvenirs are also ready!

They also got their permits after attending seminars. The couple set their wedding date to December 21, 2019.

But their lives turned upside down beginning in October when Ryan noticed that Richielyn stomach is getting bigger. She’s not pregnant. She was later diagnosed with ascites, abnormal buildup of fluid in the abdomen. The doctors also extracted fluid from her lungs. She was admitted for 2 weeks at Metro Antipolo Hospital.

Just days after discharge, she had to be rushed to Padre Pio Hospital in San Mateo after she complained of intense headaches. After several tests, including CT scans, doctors discovered that her brain is swollen. The family was informed of several possible causes – and all of them sounded bad. They were told to move Richielyn to a bigger hospital as they didn’t have the facilities to treat her.

At Capitol Medical Center, she was diagnosed with TB meningitis. The family was told that the prognosis is bad, with a 30/70 chance of survival. And if she survives, she won’t be the same again. She was in agony for weeks, until she fell into a coma. The doctors had to operate to reduce the fluid and swelling on her brain, but she lost her battle after a few days.

Before her passing, Richielyn asked Ryan to bury her alongside their baby. She tried her best to fight, but her body just couldn’t handle the illness.
