MANILA, Philippines – The men's volleyball team of the Philippines already made history of clinching first Southeast Asian (SEA) Games gold medal match in 42 years. Today, December 10, they will face Indonesia in the finals round soaring high for the penultimate goal of winning the top spot.
Philippines is already assured of silver medal finish after dethroning the defending champion Team Thailand in a five-set grueling match on Sunday, 17-25, 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 17-15.
Philippines is expected to rebound in their big game today against Indonesians, who gave them a heartbreaking sweep during the preliminary round.
Leading the pack for the Nationals are wing spikers Bryan Bagunas and Marck Espejo.
