MANILA, Philippines – The 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night (Gabi ng Parangal) happens Friday, December 27 at the New Frontier Theater, Araneta City, Quezon City. Watch the highlights, red carpet and event proper via livestream.
“Sa loob ng 45 years na indinaraos ang MMFF, ito ang unang pagkakataon na mapapanood ng ating mga kababayan ang MMFF highlights sa Facebook Watch. Masaya kaming ibahagi ang MMFF highlights sa ating mga kababayan, para mapanood nila ito nang live at libre, nasaan man sila sa mundo,” Danny Lim, overall chairman of the MMFF said.

Awards night is set to start at 8:00 p.m.
The MMFF Hall of Fame Awards will also be held as part of the larger Gabi ng Parangal. It will give recognition to past award recipients who have been awarded three or more times in the same category in the past editions of the Gabi ng Parangal.
The eight official MMFF entries are the following:
MMFF 2019 nationwide screening runs from December 25 to January 7, 2020.
Spokesperson Noel Ferrer on Wednesday said that first day gross is comparable to last year. "Despite the typhoon and the closing of some malls/cinemas in Visayas and Mindanao, our first day MMFF gross this year is comparable to last year’s successful opening."
