A company was so successful in 2019 that it raffled off 13 brand-new cars for its Christmas party! But it didn’t end there because the company, US-based United Shore Financial Services, featured hit electronic/pop act The Chainsmokers and other impressive raffle items (including 30 cruises to the Bahamas) in its year-end party. That’s probably the grandest, most extravagant party of the year!
In 2018, the company only had a headcount of 2,700, but it began doing massive hires since January, accepting around 250 new hires per month. This led to a final headcount of over 4,800 by December 2019. The impressive growth in its manpower actually converted into an impressive growth in its sales so that the company got more than double its income this past year.
While United Shore Financial Services received a total of $41 billion in mortgage broker volume production in 2018, the company anticipates doing $106 billion by the end of 2019. With more than double its income, it came as no surprise that the company would be so generous in its Christmas party this year.
So, while it had a Shinola watch giveaway in its past Christmas party, United Shore Financial Services decided it would make this year’s party extra special by giving away 30 cruises to the Bahamas and no less than 13 brand new Cadillacs!
Each Cadillac XT5 is priced at around $41,695. Thus, the company had so easily given away over $542,000. A cruise to the Bahamas might not be as pricey as the Cadillac, but getting that as a minor prize is not really that bad, huh?
“It was a good year around here. The secret sauce is the people and the culture and the team,” said Mat Ishbia, company CEO.
It came as no surprise that employees are saying this had been the best Christmas party they attended. Everyone felt happy and appreciated, even by top management.
With its plans to continue with its expansion, the company plans to buy a 900,000-square-foot building across the street from its Pontiac headquarters. The new building will be connected to the existing 610,000-square-foot building by a footbridge.
