MANILA, Philippines – The eight official entries for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) have been announced.
MMFF selection committee headed by Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairperson Danilo Lim bared Wednesday, October 16, the last four official entries to complete this year's "Magic 8".

There were 11 other entries who didn't make the cut. The following movies failed to be included in this year's MMFF:
MMFF Parade of Stars will be held in Taguig City on December 23, 2019.

- 3Pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon starring Coco Martin, Jennylyn Mercado and Ai-Ai Delas Alas
- Mindanao with Judy Ann Santos
- Culion starring Iza Calzado, Meryl Soriano, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith
- Write About Love starring Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino

- Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity with Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza
- The Mall, The Merrier (formerly known as Momalland) with Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis
- Sunod (which replaced the slot for (K) Ampon) with Carmina Villaroel

- "Night Shift" a horror film with Yam Concepcion,
- "Kalel, 15" a drama movie starring Jaclyn Jose
- "Damaso" a musical film starring Arnell Ignacio
- "Tagpuan", a drama starring Alfred Vargas, Iza Calzado
- "Animasyong Pambata" an animation comedy for kids
- "Love is Love" a rom-com film
- "Isa Pang Bahaghari" a family drama film starring Nora Aunor
- "Danztep" a musical drama
- "Jolly Spirit Squad" a horror comedy with Glydel Mercado
- "The Heiress" a horror film with Maricel Soriano and Janella Salvador
