MANILA, Philippines – For the third day of It's Showtime's Magpasikat 2019, the trio of Jhong Hilario, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz took everyone down memory lane with their 80's-inspired number.
At the start, everyone was excited as the madlang people were asked to wear 3D glasses to enjoy their performance entitled, "Throwback Thursday."
True to their theme, they had Kuya Kim give fun facts about 80's pop fashion and entertainment.

During their short skit, Jhong tries to play an old VHS tape in a player. But since it was broken, the show was playing in reverse.
The team proceeded to present an 80's version of It's Showtime, complete with hairstyles and fashion popular during the era. But what's impressive is how the team was able to present all the lyrics of the songs, lines and dances in reverse.
It also became a reunion of the former It's Showtime hosts as surprise guests joined them on stage. Much to the delight of the audience, Kuya Kim had a special guest appearance as "Indiana Jokes." Eruption appeared as the WWF icon, "Hulk Logan." Coleen and Billy Crawford were dressed as "Sharon and Gabby."
To continue their skit, the VHS tape of Jhong was finally fixed. The team "replayed" their dance performances following the correct lyrics.
The team presented an 80's concert complete with songs "Babaero," "Karma Chameleon" and many more. To complete their finale, Randy Santiago, Carmi Martin joined the party.
The hurados found the idea very creative and colorful. Hurado Shirley Halili-Cruz said, "Sobrang saya. Nakakatuwa at nakakakilig ng performance niyo. Super galing. The production was outstanding."
Andy Alvis said, "Grabe noong una, hindi ko na gets. Pero ang galing ng idea. Binaliktad ng video. Out of the box."
Rene Napeñas commented, "Marangal, malikhain. Busog na busog ang aming imahinasyon ngayon."
Tim Yap, "Magaling, kakaiba talaga ang time warp na ito."
Veteran news anchor Tina Monzon-Palma praised their effort. She said, "You are archiving the tradition of It's Showtime."
Joel Cruz said he was trying to be careful with his words because he already like the performances of Team Anne and Team Karylle. But was still able to point out the good parts of the show.
The trio had all been previously named grand winners. Jugs and Teddy won back in 2013 with Karylle, when they did the same "reverse performance." Jhong was the grand champion last year also with Karylle with their Broadway-inspired musicale.
