Status was raised to 5th alarm at 1:02 a.m. according to emergency dispatch server “TXTFIRE Philippines”.

Sen. Richard Gordon, chairman and CEO of the Philippine Red Cross, tweeted they have dispatched 2 fire trucks and 2 ambulances on ground.

Pasay City Fire Marshal Superintendent Paul Pili said that 60 percent of the infrastructure within the Star City compound has been razed.

The Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) building, which houses radio stations: Love Radio, DZRH, Yes the Best! and Easy Rock, was partly damaged.

In a statement, MBC said: "Despite the catastrophe, MBC FM stations Love Radio, Yes the Best, and Easy Rock will continue regular broadcasting operations." AM radio station DZRH is expected to go back on-air within 48 hours or less.

Star City spokesperson Rudolph Jularbal told ABS-CBN News that the amusement park might only reopen in October 2020.
