Coco Martin lives in 2,000sqm dream home, complete with his own pool in resort-like facility

MANILA, Philippines – Coco Martin has come a long way from his days as an Indie actor. He currently has a net worth of $20 million and is among the most sought-after actors in the Philippine entertainment industry. His 2,000 sqm dream home is one of the best homes in the country, complete with its own pool inside a resort-like facility!

Set in Quezon City, the sprawling resort-like home was built in the span of 3 years, mostly because Coco did not want to take a loan from the bank to complete his dream home sooner.

“Ang tagal ginawa ‘yong bahay, kasi ipon, ipon, ipon. Kasi dahan-dahan lang, ayoko kasing biglain. Natakot naman akong mangutang sa bangko, kasi alam mo naman ‘yong work natin—minsan okey, ‘tapos biglang mawawala. Sabi ko, pag ni-loan ko ‘to, baka hatakin sa’kin. ‘Yon ‘yong pinakamasakit na mangyayari sa buhay ko,” he told YES! Magazine.

He started out with a simpler house but he wasn’t satisfied with the initial shape; thus, he bought adjacent lots and the house grew.

Straight off the pages of glossy architectural magazines, Coco’s home was designed with comfort and beauty in mind. Lush plants bring tropical vibe to the home while the main door’s attractive fish artwork is a sight to behold.

The door was made by no less than Abdulmari Asia Imao, a National Artist for Visual Arts. Coco commissioned Abdulmari to create an art piece for the door that features a fish because his beloved grandma was born under the Pisces sign.

Various designers also created beautiful contributions to Coco’s house.

Glass and metal designer Miguel Aguas made the metal artwork resembling trees to decorate the posts near the main door.

Trek Valdizno created a horizontal amber sculpture in the living room that serves as the focal point in the area.

Kenneth Cobonpue’s 12-seater Wave dining table is matched with Vito Selma’s Arata dining chairs at the luxurious dining room.

There’s a small theater inside Coco’s home that comes complete with authentic cinema seating and topnotch sound systems. Coco’s awards are also displayed in this room.

There’s also a cabana at the end of the pool that also doubles as guest house. It comes with a well-stocked kitchen. Being a guest at Coco’s house would certainly feel like you’re in a 5-star resort!
