MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) have declared class suspensions for today, September 17, 2019 (Tuesday) due to bad weather brought by the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat.
In the 4:00 am weather forecast, PAGASA announced that Southwest Monsoon is affecting Central and Southern Luzon.
A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 715 km East of Basco, Batanes. Meanwhile, another LPA was estimated based on all available data at 130 km West of Iba, Zambales.

Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro were advised to monitor flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
