A guy, presumably a regular customer, had seen the old vendor park his cart of goods near the milk tea shop to check out the items being served on the menu.

Considering that he doesn’t earn a lot of money, a cup of milk tea is already too expensive for him; he even calls the drink as “pangmayaman” (only for rich people) when the guy asked whether he wanted to have a cup.

After learning that this old vendor hasn’t tasted any milk tea, the kind guy offered to buy him a cup – and even told him to buy the most expensive ones on the list to ensure he gets the best drinks. The old vendor chose the dark chocolate milk tea.

When he got the drink, the old man gamely posed for some photos. One of the pictures captured the feeling of bliss that he experienced upon taking a sip of this ‘pangmayaman’ drink he had only longed for in the past.
It was his first milk tea, and this old vendor clearly enjoyed the drink! He was so thankful to this kind guy who gave him the drink for free that he decided to give back and also offer him anything he wanted from the cart. The guy joked that he got a basin.

Afterwards, the old man went on his way to sell his goods and was quite surprised when many people bought from him, telling him they saw him on Facebook. The old man was later identified as Tatay Teban in an update the milk tea shop posted on its page.

“UPDATE: nasa shop po ulit si Tatay Teban, at masayang masaya niyang ibinalita sa amin na malakas daw benta nya kahapon at kaninang umaga dahil may mga nakakakilala daw sa kanya kasi nakita sya sa FB! Maraming maraming salamat po sa mga tumulong kay Tatay, let's use social media as platform para tumulong at ipalaganap ang positivity!” Cabin Brew Milk Tea wrote in the update.
