In a post on Facebook, Jhane Espina shared a wonderful experience that she and her family had with a Grab driver while they were rushing her sister Janine to the hospital. While the trip was rather sad as they were bringing Janine to the hospital after she is suspected of having dengue, it warmed their hearts that their Grab driver was extra kind.

On September 18, 2019, Jhane and her family rushed Janine to the hospital. After learning that they needed to transport the dengue-stricken Janine to the hospital, Ronaldo Pillarina De Guzman decided not to collect fare from the family.

They were supposed to pay him Php310 for the trip, but this kind Grab driver refused to accept their payment. He knows that the family might need a lot of money to save Janine’s life; every peso certainly counts!

But he did not just give them a free ride to the hospital, because when they alighted the vehicle, De Guzman also gave them Php1,000 to help the family! While the family feels that the free trip was already a big help, De Guzman wouldn’t leave until they took the cash.

So, the family graciously accepted the offer. Then, as a way to thank this kind Grab driver and honor his gift to the family, Jhane shared screenshots from the Grab app showing his photos.
